Hi y’all, Kathy here! I’m an Army spouse and mom of two spunky little boys living the military lifestyle, juggling a career and mom-life, and meeting amazing people along the way. I’m passionate about helping others and have been in the helping profession for over 10 years. Over the past six years I’ve started viewing the military experience through a social change and advocacy lens. I’ve met many spouses who’ve experienced rocky roads along their journey, and I am not exempt. I’ve also gotten a taste of what lies over the rainbow and am inspired by other spouses and families that are dreaming and living what they dare to. I’ve decided to begin this personal blog as an informational resource for military families, spouses, and stay-at-home parents. I will share what I love about our family’s military adventures and places we’ve lived (Kansas these days). I will also journal some of the challenges and joys of parenting, and offer ideas for stronger marriages, health and wellness, and navigating the military journey. Did I mention this lifestyle has not been easy? I’m hoping to help others, like myself make the best out of each new “home”. My heart is filled with compassion for military families, and gratitude to our service members. I’m humbled by this blog opportunity and thankful for the rocky roads and rainbows that have led me here. Now click your heels, grab your mud, and join me!
